Management at Holland Pump were keen to increase brand awareness in their key export markets. The solution was to use online tools, starting with localized websites, as the most effective means of building business and brand awareness rapidly.
It made sense to start with South America as some of Holland Pump’s most attractive export markets are in the region, with large-scale mining, infrastructure and industrial projects. IBT Online was tasked with building the localized websites for Brazil and Mexico for starters. The localized websites allow Holland Pump to showcase their expertise to local prospective clients, reinforcing the trust that is so essential to the buyer’s journey.

IBT Online worked with Holland Pump management to scope out the project, selecting the most relevant content for the local websites and tailoring it to the Brazilian and Mexican markets. Translating the text into South American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese was important but even more critical was defining key words for local search engine optimization. Google has a massive 90% market share throughout South America but this still means that each website needs to be optimized for the individual market.
Headquartered in Florida, Holland Pump took advantage of Enterprise Florida’s program to help exporters increase their online global footprint. The Florida Online Global Program recognizes that in today’s world localized websites and international social media are key ingredients for exporter success.
Samantha Soffici, Online Business Development Manager at IBT Online, said: “It is really great to help these Florida companies extend their online presence internationally and boost their export sales. All of us here at IBT Online are really proud to have been chosen by Enterprise Florida to implement the Online Global Program.”
